Jeuveau

Jeuveau is an FDA-approved neurotoxin and a new alternative to Botox and Dysport. That’s why some call Jeuveau “Newtox”!

Jeuveau was developed by the aesthetic company Evolus and is designed to smooth moderate to severe wrinkles.

Like Botox and Dysport, Jeuveau can target horizontal forehead lines, vertical frown lines, and crow’s feet and help women and men achieve smoother and younger-looking skin. You can also use in other areas such as lip lines, lip flip, relax the chin, jawline and decrease necklace lines on the neck. Duration is the same 3-4 months with proper dosing.

Is there a difference between Jeuveau and the others? Jeuveau and Botox are extremely similar, there are two main distinctions between the two neurotoxins. First, Jeuveau is constructed using Hi-Pure Technology, this advancement takes additional measures to purify the protein and secondly, Jeuveau was created for cosmetic purposes only.

How Does Dysport Work?

Dysport is injected with a small needle into specific muscles to relax the muscle.  This, in turn, relaxes the skin which relaxes the line(s) that are on the skin.  Results typically appear in 2-3 days after treatment.  Some areas may take up to 2 weeks to achieve maximum relaxation.  No anesthesia is required, there is only minor discomfort.  As you continue with treatments you will notice that the return of wrinkles or lines become less severe over time since you are virtually training your muscles to relax. Dysport temporarily treats moderate to severe frown lines by reducing specific muscle activity.  Wrinkles are caused by repeated movements and muscle contractions.

Are There Do's & Don'ts?

The whole process is incredibly quick and requires almost no down time for recovery. You will be able to return to your normal activities the same day but avoid strenuous exercise for the first 24 hours. Do not massage the treated areas as we do not want to alter the placement. There may be minor pain or swelling at the injection site and on rare occasions, you may develop a headache which should resolve quickly. It is best to avoid alcohol starting a few days before the procedure as well as stop taking aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications before treatment to reduce bruising.

Is Dysport Right for me?

You’re the only one who will know if Dysport “looks” right on you.  It’s important for you to discuss treatment and expectations with Judy.  During the consultation, she will determine if Dysport is right for you.  She will also determine how much Dysport is needed to achieve the level of correction that you desire.
