Stay out of the sun for 24 hours. Always use sunblock (30 SPF or higher). Avoid sun tanning and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks.
Avoid touching the treatment area and wait at least 4 hours after to wash. Only wash the area with hands and a gentle cleanser, cool water, and pat dry.
Day 1-3
Skin may feel tight, dry, or sensitive. A sunburn-like effect is normal.
Use only mineral makeup after 24 hours. Sleep on your back, if able, with the head of the bed elevated to minimize swelling.
Avoid heat and strenuous exercises that cause sweating for 48 hours.
Day 2-3
Once your skin is no longer red and irritation is gone, you may resume your regular skin care routine.
Day 2-7
It is normal for flaking to occur. Let the flaking process happen naturally. Do not pick, scratch, or scrub skin.
It is possible that your skin may purge with a slight outbreak of acne.
Apply moisturizer as needed. We recommend SkinMedica HA5 after microneedling.
